The first in a series of events exploring the act of listening as a way of engaging with landscape and environment. Individual and collaborative projects based on field recordings from Medway and North Kent will be presented through a 4.1 sound system, followed by a discussion and Q&A with the artists. Presented as part of the Whitstable Biennale Satellite programme.

3pm JONAS GUSTAFSSON: HOO GOES THERE (18'30'') field recordings from Medway & the Hoo Peninsula will be played on a loop, transporting listeners to the bleak and unforgiving yet remarkably beautiful marshes and industrial landscapes of North Kent.
4.15pm INTERVAL / at 4:30pm the last broadcast of Sophie Lee's sonic work will ring out from the St Alphege Church Bell tower.
4.45pm THOMAS GARDNER: "Ahhh: h-and and I-and and s-and" Live performance cello & processing.
5.30pm PETER COYTE: CRACK & MURMUR Live performance with field recordings & modular synth.
6:10pm discussion and Q&A with the artists.
