  1. NOW (Binaural Mix) excerpt

Binaural mix of a 6 speaker installation at Hornsey Town Hall Arts Centre 15th - 20th September 2016.
All field recordings captured in & around the building from July 3rd to July 7th 2015 when four creatives worked in the same space in Hornsey Town Hall. That space has since become the Ply Gallery.
The Now summons up the fact that time is not infinitely flexible. The evolving world cannot be frozen in time. Hornsey Town Hall Arts Centre only exists in a temporary time zone before property developers move in. The work produced presents a personal & public archive.
The idea of Now has resonances that evoke this age of anxiety, where the catastrophe can be imagined as closing, imminent. The project also sums up the broader difficulties in our culture of creating unified, generalised responses to this age of disconnection & anxiety.
